California Privacy Notice

Effective October 2, 2026 (version 2)  |  UV Me LLC, Naples, Florida

This notice explains how UV Me LLC handles personal information belonging to California residents who visit the UV Me website at uvmelife.com (the “Site”). It supplements our Website Privacy Policy and is provided under the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA, Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code § 22575 et seq.), the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), and Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.83.

This notice covers the Site only. The UV Me mobile app collects different information; its California notice at collection is Section 11 of the App Privacy Policy.

Two things worth stating plainly. First, UV Me is not a merchant. We do not sell products, process orders, or take payments on this Site. Everything in our shop is an affiliate link to a third-party retailer. We therefore never collect your payment card details, billing address, shipping address, or order history — those go to the retailer, never to us. Second, we do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as that term is defined by the CPRA.

1. Does the CCPA apply to UV Me?

Not at present. The CCPA applies to for-profit businesses that meet at least one of three thresholds: more than $25 million in annual gross revenue; buying, selling, or sharing the personal information of 100,000 or more California residents or households; or deriving 50% or more of annual revenue from selling California residents’ personal information. UV Me LLC currently meets none of these.

CalOPPA, however, applies to any commercial website that collects personal information from California residents, regardless of size — so it applies to us, and this notice satisfies it. We also honor the core CCPA rights described in Section 7 voluntarily, because we would rather give you those rights now than wait until a threshold forces us to. If UV Me later crosses a CCPA threshold, this notice will be updated and those rights will become statutory obligations rather than voluntary commitments.

2. Personal information we collect

In the twelve months preceding the effective date above, the Site has collected the following categories of personal information, using the category names defined in Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.140:

CategoryWhat that means hereSource
IdentifiersYour email address — only if you choose to join the waitlist. Your IP address, which our hosting provider processes to serve the page and guard against abuse. You, directly; automatically from your browser
Commercial and professional informationOnly if you submit the partnership form at uvmelife.com/advertise: company, company website, your name and role, work email, category, interests, budget range, timeline and message, plus a one-way hash of your IP address used only to limit abuse of the form. You, directly
Internet or other electronic network activityPages viewed, referring page, approximate visit timing, browser and device type, and which shopping links are clicked.Automatically from your browser
Geolocation data (coarse)Approximate location inferred from your IP address, at roughly the country or region level. We do not collect precise GPS location on the Site.Automatically from your browser

We do not collect your name (unless you put it in an email to us or in the partnership form), postal address, telephone number, payment or financial account information, government identifiers, biometric information, precise geolocation, employment or education records (other than the company and role you give in the partnership form), or the contents of your messages to third parties. We do not knowingly collect any category of sensitive personal information as defined by the CPRA, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes requiring a right-to-limit option.

3. Why we collect it

We do not use your personal information for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects, and we do not use it to train artificial-intelligence models.

4. Who we disclose it to

We disclose personal information only to service providers and partners who need it to perform a function for us, and only for that purpose:

We have not sold or shared personal information in the preceding twelve months, and we have not disclosed personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. Third-party tracking across websites (Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code § 22575(b)(6))

Yes — third parties may collect personally identifiable information about your online activities over time and across different websites when you use the Site.

Specifically, our affiliate partners operate tracking technologies on the Site so that referrals can be attributed and commissions credited. Our affiliate network’s universal tracking tag is present on Site pages, and when you click through to a retailer, that retailer or its network may set its own cookies in your browser. Those cookies are controlled by the retailer or network under their privacy policies, not ours, and can persist after you leave our Site. UV Me itself does not operate an advertising network and does not build cross-site advertising profiles.

6. How we respond to Do Not Track signals (Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code § 22575(b)(5))

Some browsers transmit a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. The Site does not currently respond to DNT signals, because no common industry or legal standard for interpreting them has been finalized. We are telling you this plainly rather than implying a protection we do not provide.

What we can tell you is that UV Me does not track you across other websites for advertising purposes regardless of your DNT setting. If a uniform DNT standard is adopted, we will honor it and update this notice. In the meantime, you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can use your browser’s private-browsing mode, to limit affiliate cookies.

We also recognize Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a valid opt-out of sale or sharing. Because we do not sell or share personal information, a GPC signal does not change how the Site treats your data — there is nothing for it to switch off.

7. Your California privacy rights

We extend the following rights to California residents. As explained in Section 1, we currently do this voluntarily.

8. How to exercise your rights

Email support@uvmelife.com with the subject line “California Privacy Request” and tell us which right you wish to exercise.

Verification. Because the only identifier we hold for most visitors is an email address, we verify a request by confirming that you can respond from the email address the request concerns. We may ask for one additional matching detail if the request is broad. We will not ask you for more information than is necessary to verify you, and we will not use verification information for any other purpose.

Authorized agents. You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request. We will ask the agent for written proof of your authorization and may ask you to confirm it directly.

Timing. We confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond substantively within 45 calendar days. If we need more time we will tell you why and may extend by a further 45 days. There is no charge for a request unless it is manifestly unfounded or excessive, in which case we will explain before proceeding.

9. Reviewing and changing your information

If you joined the waitlist, you may unsubscribe using the link in any email we send, or email support@uvmelife.com to review, correct, or delete your address. We will act on the request and confirm when it is done.

10. Shine the Light (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.83)

California residents may request a list of the personal information we disclosed to third parties for those parties’ own direct marketing purposes in the preceding calendar year. UV Me does not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes. To make a request anyway, email support@uvmelife.com with the subject line “Shine the Light”.

11. Minors

The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. We also do not sell or share the personal information of any consumer we know to be under 16 — we do not sell or share personal information at all. If you believe a child has provided us information, email us and we will delete it.

12. Retention

We keep waitlist email addresses until you ask us to remove them or until the waitlist is no longer active. We keep partnership inquiries while we manage the relationship, and delete them when you ask. Server and analytics logs are kept only as long as needed to operate and secure the Site. We do not keep personal information longer than reasonably necessary for the purpose it was collected for.

13. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice. The “Effective” date at the top always reflects the current version, and material changes will be posted on this page. We encourage you to check back when you visit.

14. Accessibility and contact

If you need this notice in an alternative accessible format, email us and we will provide one.
